Blenheim and Picton in Marlborough is much more than a Sauvignon blanc wine town, it has a has thriving craft beer scene, boasting four unique breweries within the region. Beer can be a great change from a day tasting wine so we visit a brewery or two on our Marlborough tours.
It takes a lot of beer to make a bottle of wine.
There is always the opportunity to visit a brewery of enjoy a beer tasting on the full day group tour. We find this is a successful way to relax after the formality of wine tasting. We usually enjoy visiting Moa brewery as it is centrally located and have a wide range of beers on tap. Moa has a large outdoor area with bean bags and tables for sitting. There is music and burgers available. We also visit the Grovetown Hotel and Dobson St who have huge selections of beer on tap.
